Safeway Father's Day Run/ Walk 2012

As much as I would love to talk about all the cool gadget/ gifts that dad would love for father's day, I have decided to instead talk about a cause that is very dear to my heart. A close family member of mine is a survivor of Prostate Cancer and I can understand the importance of providing support to them and raising awareness. We all known someone or at least have friends who knows someone suffering from this illness, hence why my sister and I are participating in the Safeway Father's Day Walk/Run on Sunday June 17th, 2012 to show our support.
 Facts about Prostate Cancer
-Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men. It will impact one in seven Canadian men in their lifetime.
-Over 90% of prostate cancer cases are curable if detected and treated in their earliest stages. Early detection is key - men at age 40 should have a discussion with their doctor about their prostate cancer risk, and ask for a PSA test and other forms of early detection.
