Have you ever gone through a difficult time in your life and thought that moment would never pass? I have recently come to a few conclusions about myself and what I want in life and I refuse to settle for less even if it means me being unhappy for a little while. Acknowledging my flaws has been a difficult pill to swallow, yet at the same time, humbling and empowering. We as humans sometimes get caught up in the moment and don't think about what is "right" , but I guess sometimes you have to go backwards in order to move forward. Someone wise once said  "Change begins with oneself and grows from there" and I couldn't agree more.  One quote that gets me through tough times is " This Too Shall Pass" .

This bag is in a league of its own and absolutely STUNNING! It  also comes in an  array of colors. This is the medium sized bag and it is priced at over $4000!!!

Battle of the Bulge

I'm back at it again! Trying to fight the bulge and get back to making the gym a part of my daily routine. I fell off working out on a daily basis after my tropical vacation last year and haven't been consist with it since then.I went on vacation without a plan on what I was going to eat and drink and lets just say I ate and drank everything in sight.  I did try to go to the gym while there, but It was almost impossible with temperatures reaching 100 degree Fahrenheit daily.

The plan this time is to switch it up and join a boot camp twice a week, do two 1 hour aerobic class twice a week as well as running 5 km 3 times a week. I personally enjoy working out, but the challenge this time would be finding  time to fit everything in. I don't plan on changing my diet drastically, but I do plan on cutting out alcohol completely. I'll blog about my results monthly to update you guys about my progress. My ultimate goal is to tone up my stomach, legs and butt.

Do you guys have any tips for staying motivated while on vacation? If so, please share it with me in the comment section.

I have a new found love for all things silk. Above are my recent purchases from Zara. My absolute favorites are the leather pencil skirt and the cream silk blouse. Stay tuned for an outfit post later this week. The first week of 2012 has been exceptional. I started a new job and I'm finally back at the gym full-time. Being back at the gym isn't a new years resolution for me but rather trying to maintain an active lifestyle as much as I can.  I would like to start off by wishing everyone a Happy New Year and the best of luck in 2012. I didn't make any new year resolution this year, but rather I promised myself to be a better person than I was last year and do things that I love to do more often. My  new years eve was quiet and uneventful compared to the last few years. It was spent with family and the bf and I couldn't  have asked for anything better.

I never really get to dress up as often as I would like to hence the sporadic outfit posts. This outfit I wore two days in a row. Please don't judge me.  I wore it while visiting friends on NYE and then wore it the next day with different shoes, accessories and  my hair done differently while shopping with my bf. This fur vest is definitely a staple item in my closet this winter. I have wore it out almost every weekend for the last couple of months and I swear it looks good with everything.  I also love the color of my Marc Jacob handbag. Nothing like a bit of colour to brighten up your winter wardrobe. Stayed tuned for more posts in the New Year and my first ever GIVEAWAY!
