Blogger Style of the Month: Shirley Eniang

The brain child behind Meek and Mild Blog Shirley Eniang is as gorgeous as the beautiful clothes that she showcases on her blog. This half Nigerian, half Ghanian beauty definitely proves that you don't have to wear expensive clothes to have great style. I love everything about her,  from her impeccable hair and make up to  her beautiful smile that keeps you wanting more. Sunday Brunch

 

This past Sunday, I met up with my dear and beautiful friend Stephanie! Stephanie just returned home after three months of  travelling through Australia and South East Asia …Oh I envy her! We decided to meet up to discuss her trip and what we’ve both been up to and doing that over brunch seemed like the perfect idea. Stephanie suggested we check out one of her favorite brunch spots called Vendome Cafe and lets just say I was impressed! This lovely little cafe is tucked away in Sunnyside on the other side of Kensington and was bustling with people when we arrived Sunday afternoon. Stephanie and I tried the French Toast with Caramelized Bananas and Sunny Side Eggs...Oh so yummm!  The ambiance and decor was absolutely amazing and every table had a fresh flower on it. Perfection! This place is a must visit for every Calgarian and I’ll definitely be back.

Runway Monthly

I attended Runway Monthly formerly known as Fashion Night Out this past week and all of Calgary's finest fashionista's were out, dressed to impress! Runway monthly is a monthly fashion show that showcases local fashion designers, stylists and boutiques in Calgary. This event will take place on the second tuesday of every month from now till September. Can't wait till the next event on May 15th at 7:30pm. Check out some pictures from that night.

Weekly Adventures

The last couple of weeks has been full of adventures for me. From celebrating birthdays to hanging out with friends and loved ones. This past weekend I celebrated the birthday of my best friend's son. Style: What to wear to Coachella

Its my favorite time of the year again....music festival season! With Coachella less than a week away, music lovers and trendsetters will be flocking to the desert to indulge in different genres of music and fashion. I unfortunately wasn't unable to purchase Coachella this year due to the high demand for tickets,  but I will live vicariously through pictures and listening to some of my favorites artist that will be performing. The number one thing on the minds of Coachella goers this year is definitely the fashion. Coachella fashion is a mix of hippie/flower child with a little urban flare. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about Coachella fashion is denim cutoffs, croptops, long flowly dress, cowboy boots, gladiator sandals and the list goes on. Check out some of my style suggestions below.

Style Inspiration: Leather Shorts

I recently purchased this LC Lauren Conrad Pleated Leather Shorts and have been thinking of ways to style it. Leather shorts are so chic and can be worn all year round with the right accessories. I love leather shorts best with a silk flowy blouse paired with platform heels. Check out some style inspirations on how I might style my look.
